Indian Rly Announces Fully AC Train From Mumbai to Delhi by May

EFT Report, New Delhi: The Indian Railway is planning to run its first fully air-conditioned train between Mumbai and New Delhi called Mumbai-Hazrat Nizamuddin Express by May of this year.



The train, which will have more AC 3-tier coaches, is expected to run once a week via Bhopal, Khandwa and Bhusawal from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), Mumbai in the afternoon and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin station in New Delhi in the morning. The project was sanctioned during the recent Railway budget presented by Union minister Pawan Kumar Bansal on Feb 26.

Fare and date of this weekly train will be decided soon, a government official said.
