By Santanu Ganguly, New Delhi: ADaRSH (Association for Development and Research of Sustainable Habitats) along with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is organizing its flagship event “National Conference on Green Design” 4th edition in New Delhi on from February 14–15, 2013. Launched in 2010, NCGD has emerged as a leading platform discussing all the key issues pertaining to green urban development.
The two-day conference would be attended by over 450 professionals ranging from different disciplines, which include architecture, engineering, construction companies, financing institutes, etc. This year's conference has been designed and organized for deliberations on issues pertaining to green urban development. On the sidelines of the conference, an exhibition showcasing green building materials, technologies and upcoming green projects will also be held. Industry stakeholders and green building design consultants are expected to participate in the exhibition.
The conference will bring together eminent luminaries from the field of green buildings, including policy makers and researchers together on one platform to share their experiences and view-points on the way forward for green habitat.
On the occasion, ADaRSH will also launch a new rating system for green large area developments, called 'GRIHA LD', which would address issues pertaining to site, water and waste and energy management in large development and a Mobile application on GRIHA.
