Champions League: Madrid v Dortmund on Apr 30

EFT Report, Bernabeu: Jose Mourinho’s Madrid will once again take on Borussia Dortmund, the team that they just can’t beat this season (played thrice, lost twice, drawn once) in this crucial second leg Champions League semi-final match to be played at their home ground Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on April 30, 2013 not forgetting that they have to over-turn a 3-goal deficit if they want a spot in the final. Los Blancos’ were beaten fair and square 4-1 at Signal Iduna Park in the first leg.

From a Madrid’s fan point of view, scoring an early goal will be vital if they want to make a match out of this. Three goals in 90 minutes is very much possible but expect the Germans to score at Bernabeu too. Madrid are likely to play Alvaro Arbeloa (back after his suspension for the first leg), Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane in the defense and playmaker/winger Angel Di Maria, who missed the match in Germany due to the birth of his daughter, is also available to selection. CR7 has a slight thigh injury but he will surely start. Meanwhile for the Germans, Jurgen Klopp is expected to name the same team that won so impressively at Signal Iduna Park. Only one team has been knocked out of the Champions League after winning the first leg 4-1, Serie A side AC Milan, who were eliminated by Spanish side Deportivo in 2004, so history is very much on the Germans side.

Champions League: Madrid v Dortmund on Apr 25

EFT Report, Dortmund: After the beating German side Bayern gave to Spanish club FC Barcelona in the first semi-final, Los Blancos’ faithful will be hoping the script won’t be the same in the second Champions League semi-final match to be played between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund at Signal-Iduna-Park on April 25, 2013.

This is the third successive semi-final appearance for Real Madrid since the ‘Special One’ Jose Mourinho took over the reign at Bernabeu and would be hoping for third time lucky charm after two consecutive heartbreak semis exit. CL: Madrid v Galatasaray at Bernabeu; Malaga v Dortmund on Apr 4

EFT Report, Madrid: Los Blancos’ quest for a record tenth European glory will continue when they take on Turkish champions Galatasaray at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in their first leg of Champions League quarter final match while another La Liga side Malaga (a surprise entry in this year edition) will take on reigning Bundesliga Champions Borussia Dortmund at Estadio La Rosaleda on April 4, 2013.

‘Special One’ Mourinho will have a fully-fit squad at his disposal for this encounter, both defenders Raphael Varane and Fabio Coentrao have recovered from injuries. A fit-again Iker Casillas have been left out of the squad and Diego Lopez will be doing the goal-keeping duty again. Alonso, Khedira, Ozil, Di Maria, who all were rested for the 1-1 draw at Zaragoza, are expected to be in the starting Madrid XI. Mourinho will be wary about Galatasaray’s threat, specially from his two-former pupils namely Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneijder. Galatasaray have beaten Madrid twice in their three previous meetings.
