EFT Report: Actor Harrison Ford, who is currently shooting for the latest Star Wars film in South East England, was airlifted from Pinewood Studios to hospital after a door prop fell on him. Ford was treated by medics after he fell to the ground and was stretchered onto a helicopter.
Ford, 71, is reprising his role as Han Solo in Star Wars: Episode VII, which is being directed by JJ Abrams. A spokesman for Disney said: ‘Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates.’
Star Wars: Episode VII is scheduled for release in December next year.
