Nobody knows why they broke up as of yet, but while everyone wants to know 'why', here are 17 reasons why their relationship ending makes no sense.

2. They looked incredibly loved up in the single artwork for their duet.
3. They were smiling and wearing matching hipster denim outfits less than a week ago.
4. Katy was literally ecstatic to be in his company less than a month ago, like they showed it up on 'The Ellen Show'.
5. They were in their own little world at last year’s Grammys.
6. It’s like they were the only two people in the world.
7. Their PDA game was on point!
8. They appeared on "GMA" to basically promote their relationship and it was super cute.
9. They just seemed like they were having ALL THE FUN together.
10. They were supposedly getting married, like ASAP.
11. Katy has been trolling us for months wearing rings on her engagement finger, which we thought was just practice for the inevitable rock John was going to give her soon.

13. They were supposedly already married last month!
