Report by Santanu Ganguly: The second season of MTV’s Nano Drive is currently underway and as the North Team reached Chandigarh, it was time to let their hair down and relax at The Blue Blazer. Kautak Shrivastav, Maithali Tembe and Amish Sabharwal are driving the Nano 2013 edition through the north belt and while their Nano couldn’t notch up more kilometres, with a breakdown in Dehradun, the team came in smiling atop a tempo directly to the city’s favourite club, close to midnight. The evening was a more fruitful one for them, with Amish needing to bring in more points for the team on the basis of his looks, dress sense and even some dance and mimicry, and managing to notch up 14 out of 15 points.
Amish carried out imitations of all characters from the much-loved Bollywood film Andaz Apna Apna, had his female guests in splits with mimicry of Saif Ali Khan – and all this while indulging in Veg and Pepperoni Pizzas at The Blue Blazer. Maithali managed to bring the team in to Chandigarh by first hitching a ride with the production team, and when they too ran into car trouble, by ensuring all of them arrived safely but drenched on a tempo.

The second season of MTV Nano Drive is presently being aired on youtube and will be in the form on 6 episodes on MTV, in the month of July. 4 Teams – Nano North, South, East and West – began their journey from the 0 milestone marker at Nagpur, and the North team has travelled through Nainital, Punjab and will go onto McLeadganj, eventually ending their journey in Jammu. Spread across 21 days, Chandigarh witnessed Days 13 and 14 of their journey, and also saw them pick up a fourth Nano loyalist participant for the rest of the journey.
Named after celebrity bartender Jerry Thomas's drink that combined fiery flavours with sharp preparation, comes this lounge in Chandigarh - The Blue Blazer.

RESTAURANT by day, LOUNGE by night, The Blue Blazer also turns into a NIGHTCLUB on Wednesday and Saturday nights. On these nights, we have featured big names like Jalebee Cartel, DJ Kanna aka Kan-i, DJ Eve Carey, DJ Ivan (Ministry of Sound India Resident DJ) and DJ Lucy Stone (Ministry of Sound London Resident DJ).
