EFT Report, Kolkata: Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar has announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League after his team won the IPL 6 title on May 26, 2013. He said, "This is my last IPL, and this is a perfect way to end IPL."
He made the announcement after Mumbai Indians beat the Chennai Super Kings in the final IPL match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
"For World Cup I had to wait for 21 years but for this I had to wait for only six years. Also this is special for me as I won't be playing in IPL next season," Tendulkar said at the end of Mumbai Indians' triumph.
