EFT Report, Las Vegas: Its official now……....after successfully defending his WBC welterweight crown against Robert Guerrero, ‘Mr. Money’ Floyd Mayweather (36), regarded by many as the best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet, will next take on the young upcoming 22-year-old Mexican boxing sensation Saul Alvarez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on September 14. Both Mayweather’s WBA Super light-middleweight title and Alvarez’s WBC belt will be on the line at the said fight.
Like Floyd Mayweather, Alvarez is undefeated with 42 victories and one draw from 43 fights. Confirming the fight, Mayweather tweeted: I chose my opponent for September 14 and it’s Canelo Alvarez.
This fight will be the second fight for Mayweather, who signed a 6-fight contract with American cable TV network ‘Showtime’ worth over $200 million.
