Satinder Sartaj is an acclaimed Indian Punjabi Sufi singer and a poet. He first appeared on the international scene after he won the Best Sufi Singer award at the Dubai International Cultural fest 2003, where he was also commended as a lead vocalist for his performance in a folk dance competition. Since then his popularity has seen a constant surge among the Punjabi community with his shows being held in many countries across the world. Also his style and persona is being constantly compared to those of legendary Punjabi poets, He has often been declared as the torch-bearer of the rich tradition of Punjabi culture
