Chhandasri Roy
A veteran in Hindustani classical music, Mrs. Roy started training at the age of 3 with her guru Pt. Jnan Prakash Ghosh. She specializes in classical raagpradhan, thumri and bhajans. Her 25-year association with All India Radio, and performances in various mainstream and regional TV channels add to her credit. She has been honored with the Sangeet Ratna, and now trains upcoming talent through Jhankar Music Academy, to take her legacy forward.
Nikhil Patwardhan
Nikhil belongs to the Maihar gharana and uses the Gayaki style in his performance. He also performs semi-classical pieces – primarily natyasangeet, thumri, Dadra and Baul melodies. He is experimental and has performed fusion with multiple instruments such as the guitar, violin and cello, apart from performing live at off-beat locations. He provides sitar accompaniment for classical dance and orchestras.
Manjulika Mukerjee
Manjulika has learnt kathak from Smt. Sudeshna Maulik (a disciple of Pt. Birju Maharaj). She has a Master’s degree in kathak dance and has taught advanced form of kathak as a lecturer for five years. She specialises in solo kathak, choreography, contemporary and folk dance.
Partha Mukerjee
Partha has learnt the tabla under the guidance of Pt. Kishore Banerjee and Pt. Subhankar Banerjee. He has a Master’s degree from Prayag Sangeet Samiti (Allahabad) and Visharad from Prachin Kala Kendra (Chandigarh). Apart from performing at various music festivals in India and abroad, he has also appeared on Doordarshan and regional TV channels. He has been honored with the Taal Mani by Allahabad University, and Taal Bhaskar at the Bhopal Music Festival
