Russia to Ban Madonna for Supporting Pussy Riot Singers

EFT Report, Moscow: Russia is all set to ban Pop Icon Madonna in the future for supporting jailed feminist punk-rock band Pussy Riot singers, who are anti-Russian President Vladimir Putin, and her continual support for gay rights.

The 54-year-old, who did two shows in Moscow and St Petersburg last year, could now be refused visas in the future. In 2012, three members of the Pussy Riot were convicted of hooliganism and sentenced to two years imprisonment while one member was freed on probation the remaining two members namely Maria Alyokhina (24) and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova (22) were sent to Siberia's harsh labor camps.

Russian authorities are also set to impose a fine of £10,500 on Madonna’s concert organizers saying the ‘Ray of Light’ hit-maker’s visa does not allow her to work for money in the country and she is guilty of ‘illegal commercial activity’.
