EFT Bureau, Mysore: The Election Commission of India has recently announced elections to the Legislative Assembly of Karnataka on May 5, 2013. The said date coincides with the date of conduct of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-Under Graduate 2013 (NEET-UG 2013), announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on behalf of the Medical Council of India and the Dental Council of India in September, 2012.
Therefore, to avoid any inconvenience to the candidates and public in the State of Karnataka, it has been decided by the CBSE with the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, to postpone the date of conduct of NEET-UG 2013 in the State of Karnataka only to May 18 (Saturday), 2013.
The examination in all other States/UTs and abroad will be conducted on May 5 (Sunday), 2013 as per the existing schedule.
