| Fellowship Program on Human Rights and Gender Sensitivity |
Inaugurating the program MD Sayeed Ahmad, spoke on the human rights violation against Dalits and Tribal of Odisha. Where was Eminent Educator and Women activist Ms. JR Patro taught the students on “Understanding the Indian society.” The Entire program was presided by Mr. Milan Kumar Nayak, National Fellowship Desk Coordinator.
N. Lena Chand–President YWCA, Berhampur & Editor Students Empire–News Paper represented as main resources person on the topic-Gender Sensitivity, Environmental Protection, Global Warming & Climate Change, Role of Mass Media And Society in an innovative way. Many students have participated from the different units of Odisha region. Very important and vital documentary short films related to topics filmed and presented to the students through power point presentation by Lena Chand. An interesting and most valuable topic-“Career Guidance” session was carried out by N. Lena Chand on the 2nd day of the program with power point presentation and documentary film to build a perfect career for the student mass. Students interacted with the various problems in career building and job requirements. It was a new initiative workshop on Career of S C M India for the student members. A Quiz competition was hold by Lena Chand on the concerned topics and the students were awarded by prizes. On the evening of 2nd day a cultural fiesta was organized by the students for refreshment and talent show. Every student participated in the cultural event. Among other program Bible Study was conducted by Pastor Himansu Nayak, Nisamani Nayak, Bhagyabati Nayak and Jirimiya Pani at the beginning of each day’s session to revive the students.
Mrs Jharana Nayak, Mentor G.Udayagiri Unit conducted the session on human Rights and social Activist Ms Anjum Ahmad spoke on the Women’s Rights and she explained how the tribal and dalit women are victimizing brutally in rural areas of Odisha. Mr. Milan Ku. Nayak presented the vision and mission of S CM I and talk on Posko struggle. The program was ended with students sharing and evaluation on the workshop.
