By Santanu Ganguly, New Delhi: Creatively unlock the doors to your sacred feminine! This experiential workshop will explore how the subtlety, power and grace of the female is celebrated through dance practices from around the world.
Using ancient forms of ritual dance we will learn how dance and movement can be used for healing, how it functions to aid the body mind connection and how women can be both sensuous and empowered at the same moment.
The workshop will culminate in learning a small and simple choreography and participants will be given music so they are able to continue your practice at home. An enjoyable and educational experience for all.
"I met Roberta in a festival on a remote island where she was co-facilitating a dance workshop. She is very charming, authentic and warm which reflects in her work. Roberta uses ancient dance forms and ritual ceremonies as tools to aid the emotional and social well being. I am so fascinated with the raw cocoa ceremony, ancient dance forms and sacred rituals used for transformation through dance. I would also like to attend this program but I can't because it is only for women. So, Sorry boys! Better luck next time!!" said Ashwin Bharati, Founder of Zorba The Buddha.
Roberta Beakbane is a Somatic psychotherapist (MSc) who uses movement and dance to bring understanding to the mind and body connection. She has travelled extensively to learn and understand the cultural roots and technique of various dance forms for women. She now shares this understanding with groups and individuals around the world. Roberta has been working with women and vulnerable groups for the past nine years. She helps to create unity with the self, connect with the environment and most importantly, to enjoy.
