EFT Report, Anfield: Liverpool FC veteran central defender Jamie Carragher has announced that he will be hanging up his footballing boots at the end of this season. The 35-year-old 'one-club man' has made over 700 appearances for Liverpool FC since joining the club at the age of nine. He also has 38 England caps to his name.
"I'm making this announcement because I don't want the manager to be answering questions when I've already decided what I am going to do. It has been a privilege and an honour to represent this great club for as long as I have,” Carragher said.
Jamie Carragher has won the UEFA Cup (2001), the coveted Champions League (2005), 2 FA Cup winners' medals and three League Cup titles with Liverpool FC since making his debut against Middlesbrough in January 1997.
