EFT Bureau, Chennai: Australia’s all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was sold to Mumbai Indians for $1 million (Rs 5.3 crore) at the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 6 auction on Feb. 3, 2013 in Chennai. The 24-year-old Victorian was sold for five-times his base price of $200,000.
Sri Lankan in-form all-rounder Thisara Perera was sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for $675,000. Pune Warriors India bought Indian all-rounder Abhishek Nayar for $675,000.
