EFT Report, Surajkund: The President of India Mr. Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated the 27th Surajkund International Crafts Mela at Surajkund on February 2, 2013. He termed the fair as a sumptuous feast of color, culture and cuisine and emphasized on empowerment of the country's handicraft sector.
"The mela has become a sumptuous feast of color, culture and cuisine... and is a manifestation of nation's pride," he said in his inaugural address.
The Governor of Haryana, Mr. Jagannath Pahadia and Chief Minister of Haryana, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda were also present at the inaugural event.
