EFT Report, New Delhi: The third edition of the Electronics for You (EFY) Expo 2013 kicked off at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on Feb. 21, 2013. The three-day expo was inaugurated by Union Minister for Communications & IT Kapil Sibal.
Electronics for You Expo2013 will see power packed conferences that will provide the industry an opportunity for knowledge-sharing and networking.
EFY Expo 2013 aims to bring the entire electronics industry under one roof from February 21–23. This is the only electronics event that covers the entire eco-system of the electronics industry as it focuses on the electronics value chain including components, parts, materials, manufacturing services and equipment.
The EFY Expo is a comprehensive and ideal platform for the electronics industry, where exhibitors comprise innovators, designers, manufacturers and sellers. The Expo attracts visitors from all functional branches and verticals of the electronics industry including buyers, production managers as well as engineers (from R&D and design) and innovators.
In 2013, the industry will see a fresh set of exhibitors and visitors at the Expo. There will be more global participants, thanks to the support of the embassies of various countries and the new policies of the Government of India with regards to electronics manufacturing within the country. The interest shown by foreign countries is a good sign for the domestic market and EFY hopes this Expo will act as a catalyst for the growth of the industry.
The Expo also boasts of a ‘Buyer-Seller Meet’ that has been arranged for the convenience of institutional buyers who are looking for suppliers to provide them with the best services. Last year’s edition of the Expo witnessed participation from electronics giants like Samsung, Sony, DRDO, Orient Fans, etc.
The EFY Expo is organised by the EFY Group that publishes South Asia’s most popular electronics magazine, Electronics For You (popularly known as EFY), which is recognised by the Indian electronics industry as a publication that is integral to the growth of the sector.
