Report by Afzal Ali, New Delhi: The University of Delhi will hold its multi-dimensional cultural festival “Antardhvani 2013” from February 22–24, 2013. Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal will be the Chief Guest of the festival.
“Antardhvani 2013” will showcase talent, achievements, and innovations at DU. Information sharing, group activity, healthy competitiveness, sportsmanship and a cultural array will be presented. Given DU’s leadership position in India and its global reputation, the schedule will include activities which capture the many facets and social diversity of this university. The festival will begin with the inauguration of the Flower Show and continue into NCC parade, exhibitions, food, international and national cultural events etc.
‘Antardhvani’ literally translated refers to the voice within, the voice that expresses with truth and passion what the heart deeply desires. The name given by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dinesh Singh, to the annual cultural festival of the University of Delhi, inspires every student to ‘march to the drumbeat of his or her inner calling.’
