By Santanu Ganguly, New Delhi: Saregama India Ltd., India’s flagship Music and Entertainment Company launched “THAGNI” a true Sufi Rock Album from young talented artistes “Abhas & Shreyas.” THAGNI is based on the dohas of Legendary Saint and Poet Sant Kabir. These wonderful philosophical dohas are set to tunes and sung by the extremely talented and versatile duo Abhas & Shreyas.
‘Thagni’ consists of 7 aesthetically composed tracks: Ghungat ke pat khol ri, Ud jaayega hans akela, Jheeni jheeni re chadariya and many more.
Abhas & Shreyas will be performing live all the above songs of THAGNI at World Sufi Festival on Feb. 22, 2013 from 10.30 pm onwards.
World Sufi Festival: “An amazing spiritual and musical journey in the splendour of the historical forts of Jodhpur and Nagaur.” The prestigious sites of the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur and the Ahhichatragarh Fort in Nagaur open their doors to an extraordinary sacred and historical musical journey.
