EFT Report, Aligarh: Former Indian hockey team captain and Olympian Zafar Iqbal will be conferred with the Honorary D.Litt. (Doctor of Letters) degree by the Aligarh Muslim University for his contribution in the field of sports.
UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi will confer the degree on Iqbal during the 60th convocation functions of the university on February 16, 2013, an official release said.
