EFT Report, Milan: Controversy favorite footballer Mario Balotelli's first day at his new club AC Milan was an eventful one. The 22-year-old, who just completed his £19.5 million move from Manchester City, was having a quiet meal with club vice-president Adriano Galliani at Giannino Restaurant after completing his medical when hundreds of Milan fans gather outside to get a glimpse of their new signing.

The situation soon got out of control with fans and police clashing with bottles, chairs being thrown; a policeman was taken to hospital after being struck on the head. Police had to fire tear gas to disperse the hostile crowd.
The 22-year-old striker is expected to be officially unveiled later this week and will be making his Milan debut in a friendly match against an amateur side from his home town of Brescia on Jan. 31, 2013. Balotelli will be wearing the No 45 shirt, just as he did at Manchester City and Milan’s city rivals Inter.
