India's lone Olympic boxing medalist Vijender Singh kicked off his quest for a second with an emphatic 14–10 victory over Kazakhstan's Danabek Suzhanov in the first round of the 75 kg division at the London Games in London on July 28, 2012.
Vijender, a bronze medalist at the Beijing Olympics, won all his three rounds with excellent footwork and technique to move into the round of 16. He won the first round 5–4, the second 4–3 and the final round 5–3, staying ahead of the Kazakh boxer.
