Arsenal Go on Top of Premier League With 2-1 Win Over Everton at Emirates

EFT Report: Wenger’s Gunners went on top of the premier league with a hard fought 2-1 win over Roberto Martinez's Everton at the Emirates thanks to goals from Frenchmen Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny. Arsenal took the lead in the 36th minute after Olivier Giroud got in behind Phil Jagielka and diverts a header past Tim Howard from close range after a beauty of a cross from Mesut Ozil. Koscielny doubled the lead with header less than two minutes later.

Ross Barkley pulled a goal back before half-time for the Toffees after his 20-yard drive from the edge of the box took a wicked deflection off Gabriel to fly past a helpless Petr Cech. Gareth Barry was sent-off in the 94th minute for his second booking offence.
Arsenal beat Everton 2-1

Arsenal top the table with 22 points after 10 games. Manchester City, who are on 21 points, play arch rivals Manchester United tomorrow at Old Trafford.
