EFT Report: Money doesn’t buy you wins in Sports, well atleast in this case for sure… Russian football team manager Fabio Capello will appear before the country’s parliament in October to explain the dismal showing it had at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Under Capello, who is paid an astounding £7million a year, Russia failed to win a single game in Brazil - drawing 1-1 with both Algeria and South Korea and losing 1-0 to Belgium to finish third, leading to a group stage exit.
The 68-year-old Italian had signed a new contract extension with the Russian Football Union (FUR) in January this year keeping him until 2018, the year Russia will host the FIFA World Cup for the first time. But if the FUR were to terminate his contract then they could be forced to pay the former England manager a whooping £15million in compensation.
