EFT Report: According to a new book on the Paris Saint-Germain striker, English club Queens Park Rangers turned down the chance to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic when he was a just 16 in 1998, the Rangers were managed by Gerry Francis at that time.
Zlatan’s friend Tony Flygare who wrote the bestseller ‘Once, I Was Bigger Than Zlatan’ said the pair then 16-year-olds were sent to Loftus Road on trial for one week.
Since then, Zlatan has gone on to score over 250 career goals and won titles with Inter, Ajax, Barcelona, PSG and Milan. Queens Park Rangers, managed by Harry Redknapp, are currently fighting for a play-off position in the Championship.
