EFT Report: Andre Villas-Boas has a job now three months after being kicked out of Spurs, mega-rich Russian club Zenit St Petersburg has appointed the 36-year-old Portuguese as their new head coach on a 2-year contract, which begins in March 2014 and is valid for 2 seasons (2014-15, 2015-16).
AVB had torrid spells in the Premier League while managing Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur and was sacked as Spurs manager on December 16 last year following a string of poor results, that include a 6-0 hammering by Manchester City and an embarrassing 5-0 home loss to Liverpool FC.
A statement released on Zenit's website said: 'Zenit has agreed terms on a contract with new head coach Andre Villas-Boas. The contract will be signed and Mr. Villas-Boas will be presented in St. Petersburg as Zenit’s new head coach on March 20.
