Limca Book of Record Holder Tushar Agarwal Unveils ‘Road Affair’

Report by Santanu Ganguly, New Delhi: Adventurous, breath taking and challenging trips make a living for Tushar Agarwal, the author of the book ‘Road Affair.’ The ‘Road Affair’ marks Tushar Agarwal’s foray into the world as an author after experiencing a successful corporate life as an IT consultant, and earning a place for five times in the Limca Book of Records. The book has been published by Heritage Publishers and was launched today at the India International Centre in New Delhi by Mr. Naveen Jindal, MP & MD, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd.

The ‘Road Affair’ is a detailed story of Tushar’s most memorable journeys. These journeys that span across 25 countries, reaching a height of 18,399 feet by road, driving nonstop 24 hours a day for nine days straight in the Himalayas and many more interesting experiences which helped him earn his place in the Limca Book of Records.

Tushar started his career as an IT consultant and spent a decade working across India, Japan, US and UK, before he decided to break away from the daily grind to pursue his interest in travelling. While he spent his early years travelling extensively around India on road with his family, his first formal road trip as a driver happened in the 2010 when he drove from London to New Delhi, passing through 15 countries and covering a distance of 12000 Kms in 51 days. This trip found him a place in the Limca Book of Records.

‘Amidst the chaos and the crowds, a new dream was quietly born within me, at first, I laughed at it, then I accepted it, finally I embraced it. Before I knew, it became a part of me and I wanted to see it for real. Finally, we met, and since then, I haven't stopped smiling’ says Tushar Agarwal, Author of the book Road Affair.

The road Affair is a story of the Tushar’s most memorable journeys detailed in 300 pages and is available at all major book stores for a price of INR 295 only. The book can also be bought online through Flipkart and Amazon.

Tushar Agarwal was born and brought up in New Delhi. He completed his Bachelors in English (Hons) from Delhi university, A diploma is software engineering from IBM and Cerificate in Japanese language. After spending 10 years as an IT Consultant in India, Japan, US and UK, he moved back to India in 2012. He is the co-founder of Adventures Overland, one of the first driving expedition company in iNdia. Tushar has created Five Limca Book of Records and was also a part of the Indian Team in the 11 nation ASEAN India car rally in 2012.

Tushar has spent the last 10 years traveling to more than 30 countries and driving in most of them. He is a fellow at the Royal Geographic Society, London.
