EFT Report, Los Angeles: ‘The Notebook’ actor Ryan Gosling will be portraying the role of Luke Skywalker's son (i.e the grandson of the iconic
Darth Vader) in the upcoming Star Wars Episode-VII. The 32-year-old Canadian will be joining the original casts of
Carrie Fisher,
Harrison Ford and
Mark Hamill in the much awaited sequel to be helm by
Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol director
JJ Abrams.

Star Wars Episode-VII will go into production in early 2014 and is scheduled for a summer 2015 release.
