Report by Preksha Sharma: She must be pulling our leg claiming that she owns only eight pairs of shoes!
Harry Potter actress Emma Watson - who is frequently pictured sashaying down red carpets in a variety of towering stilettos has in fact a huge collection of shoes!
Given that she has a £24 million fortune and luxury homes in London, New York and France, such collection might not be a breaking news but indeed a big one.
Often topped in the best-dressed lists of fashion magazines, Emma Watson made this claim in an interview about her new film The Bling Ring, in which she plays one of a real-life gang of thieves who raided celebrities' homes for their designer clothes.
A part of the film was shot in Paris Hilton's walk-in wardrobe. While condemning the socialite's lavish spending - many of Paris's clothes were hanging in her wardrobe with the price tags still on - 23-year-old Watson claimed: 'I've got about eight pairs of shoes and that's it.'
While Ms Watson, who played swotty Hermione Grainger in the Harry Potter films, is known for her brains, it seems maths might not be her strong suit while counting her shoes. She has been spotted wearing a dozen pairs of her own shoes when out and about on days off – and a research shows that she has strutted her stuff in shoes worth around £14,000.
Although she is the daughter of wealthy lawyers Jacqueline and Chris, growing up in Oxfordshire and attending Lynams, the 'pre-prep' for the prestigious Dragon School, she has never been comfortable with her extreme wealth. Aged 18, her father sat her down and told her that she had earned around £20 million from the Potter films. She had until then been on a £50-a-week allowance.
Seeing all this, the shoe collection that she owns right now, is much less than she can actually afford!
