Report by Santanu Ganguly, New Delhi: Recently the debut novel of Delhi based RJ turn author Neeta Iyer "Find_Love.com" was released at Landmark, Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. The special occasion was graced by special guests; RJ Abhay (Oye FM), RJ Aakriti (Red FM), RJ Jassi (Radio Mirchi) and RJ Khurki (Radio City) released the novel, who are also the friends of Neeta. It was for the first time bunch of RJ's were present as Chief Guests for the program.
"It's a proud moment for me as I'm attending my first ever book release function and that's too of my own book", said Neeta.
On this occasion the chief guests were all praised for the young author and said their experiences of reading the book. RJ Khurki said "This is a great book for one and all, whoever is married or unmarried as it takes you to the journey you have gone through or are going to enjoy in real life." RJ Jassi congratulated Neeta for her extra-ordinary effort to write a funfilled journey of a girl trying to find a suitable match for her through different matrimonial sites any human ever knows of.
Sharing his excitement and experiences RJ Abhay said it has been a shocking and good laughing journey for me. The shock was that Neeta is writing a book, my first reaction was Kya! Neeta Book Likh Rahi hai.. But seriously she has done a wonderful job with her debut book and you all are going to love it as well.
Neeta was quite happy and excited with her book and said, "I'm grateful to Jaico Publishing House for publishing my book and everyone who joined me here. It has been a great journey while writing the 12 chapters as in every chapter the main character Swati Kannan meet a sample (characters) and the title of every chapter provides you the idea what kind of person she's going to meet through out the journey. During the programme she also read excerpts from the book which is also one of her favourite encounters with a sample called Amit.
Meet 29-year-old Swati Kannan who believes in bells chiming and violins playing when you meet your very own Prince Charming. But Cupid hasn’t visited Swati. And then arrives news of the world coming to an end! Swati is determined to bring an end to her misery of being attractively single. So off she goes on a hunt – an online groom-hunt leading to several rounds of coffee offline. While Rockstar Rohit sweeps her off her feet, Amusing Amit promises her laughter.
Neeta Iyer, describes herself as - Confusion.. Her middle name.. She always aspired to be a doctor, a pilot, a teacher, an author, an actor, a detective (because it is impossible to curtain any interesting food item from her), a scientist etc.. Born and brought up in Rourkela, Neeta moved to Delhi and completed her 12th grade from Cambridge, Noida.. followed by a degree in ‘Hotel Management’ from National Institute of Hotel Management, Catering and Nutrition, Pusa. Hotel Management was not included in the aforementioned list but the usual is unusual in her case. While pursuing HM, she realised that she doesn't enjoy cooking, serving or cleaning. Eating she did but then who would pay her? Confused about the next step she plunged into the airline sector. After a rigorous training, when she went on-board with her first flight which was ‘Delhi-Guwahati-Dibrugarh’, her stomach misbehaved and she awakened to the harsh reality of ‘air sickness’. Avomine tablets were a saviour for the next few months before a new career as a Radio Jockey intervened. A music lover, corporate ace, travel fiend, spontaneous and full of life.... after seven years with radio, Neeta has added to this elastic list her new facet of a writer. Her debut novel, published by Jaico is titled "Find_Love.com". Planning never works, so go with the flow.. is her mantra. No confusion here, I say!
