According to sources, Robert Downey Jr. was paid a whooping $50 million just to reprise his role as Iron Man in
The Avengers. The sequel will be in production from March 2014 and will be helm again by director
Joss Whedon. 2012’s
The Avengers grossed over $1.51 billion worldwide making it the third highest-grossing film of all time behind
‘Avatar’ and
‘Titanic’.
