EFT Report, Quito: In one of the most bizarre Red Card given in a football match in recent times, Javier Mascherano was sent-off for kicking the driver of his cart during Argentina's World Cup qualifying match against Ecuador on June 11 at Quito.

The incident happened when the Barcelona midfielder went down after a challenge in the 87th minute and was put on the cart, that’s when Mascherano got furious and kicked the driver, who appeared to squirt water in his direction. The clash triggered angry scenes as both sets of players waded in. The match ended in a 1-1 draw with Sergio Aguero scoring for Albicelestes while Segundo Castillo found the net for Ecuador.
