EFT Report, Indore: Renowned Indian playback singer Hariharan was honored with Madhya Pradesh government’s annual “Lata Mangeshkar Samman Alankaran” award at a ceremony in Indore on May 20, 2013.
Madhya Pradesh Industries Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and Culture Minister Laxmikant Sharma gave the award to the 58-year-old singer at the Nehru Stadium in Indore.
Hariharan, who is the 28th recipient of the award, was given Rs two lakh cash, honor plaque, shawl and a coconut.
