EFT Report, Bangalore: Veenai Jayanthi Kumaresh and Madras Pianist Anil Srinivasan present ‘Parallel Strings’, a really unique concert.

In this classic ‘Beethoven’ meets ‘Thyagaraja’ concept, experience the coming together of two different genres of music, a unique duet of two instruments, a confluence of soft and melodic sounds, the veena and the piano.

Anil Srinivasan renders on his piano western classical music creating an aesthetic which is unique unto itself. The Saraswathi Veena is played by Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh, who has evolved her own identity and style by making the Veena her voice in expressing a new musical thought.
