Report by Santanu Ganguly: Experimental Indian classical singer Tritha is set to perform in Zorba the Buddha on Sunday, April 14, 2013 by popular demand, one year after the acclaimed Live at Zorba Baithak, which was released as a full length LP last year.
Folk music will take centre stage, as traditional songs and melodies from Bengal or Ukraine will merge and take a whole new life in the beautiful surroundings of the retreat. Tritha will also perform songs from her Ethnopunk album PaGLi, accompanied by 5 fabulous musicians from Ukraine forming a band Cloud Jam on violins, vocals and percussions.
Cloud Jam is a Ukrainian band that draws inspiration from traditional music all over the world, explores Ukrainian folklore and experiments with modern music.
