EFT Report, New Delhi: What would have been the fate of Shahjahan’s Taj Mahal, had the emperor lived in present times? That is the theme of this hilarious burlesque. The persistent Shahjahan in no mood to accept the excuse of delays, sends the somnolent Govt. department into tizzy. The engineers and overseers get down to business to fulfil emperor’s wish, as if they really could. An outbreak of activity ensues but in typified sarkari manner. Tenders are issued. Contractors are hired. But does the project see the light of the day. Or does the Mughal emperor, fast forwarded in times, become a victim of the system himself. Whatever may happen to the wonder tomb, but the lofty laughter castles are assured, as the curtain raises on ‘Taj Mahal Ka Tender’.
