“I am extremely happy with my performance at this DHS and today’s Jumping Gp-I and this is the first time I’ve managed a clear win in both categories of individual and team, so it’s a special moment for me and I look forward to many more,” said an ecstatic Ritwik Thakur.

The DHS Novice Dressage saw 42 year old Shruti Vora astride ‘Rascalino’ win with a top score of 65.37% leaving 21 other riders behind to notch the winning position. Shruti beat Major Rohit Dagar astride ‘Veeru’ who came in second with a score of 62.87% in the competition.

Shruti Vora got a special mention from the judges for her riding skills is said to be a promising candidate with potential to make it as a contestant for the Asian Games with her riding skills and form.

“Though the Delhi Horse Show sees a majority of young riders, I’m probably one of the few female riders who have managed to make it to the top score at this competition. Riding is one of the few sports which isn’t restricted to a certain age but, is essentially a test of one’s skills. Hard work and training definitely seems to have paid off and I’m very happy to have won this prestigious competition at the Delhi Horse Show this year,” said a visibly happy Shruti Vora.

The Delhi Horse Show has grown by leaps and bounds over the years. This year Delhi Horse Show 2013 has a total number of 3000 riders and 1500 horses participating from across the length and breadth of the country competing in various competitions across a 10 day span.
