By Santanu Ganguly, New Delhi: "The main motto of our pageant is to make aware people about the killing of unborn girls (Female Foeticite)—an alarming and frightening reality," these are the words of socialite & entrepreneur Arpita Bansal. She along with Sandeep Kumar, Director RuBaRu Events together have come up with a beauty contest for a cause, "Miss India Elite 2013." An official launch announcement was made in the Indian capital at Ciro's Pomodoro at GK-I, New Delhi.
The evening saw who’s who of the city coming together in support to fight against killing of unborn girl included; the hosts Amit Manchanda, Shivani Manchanda, Arpita Bansal & Sandeep Kumar along with Vandana Vadhera, Leena Bidani, Amit Talwar, Seema Midha, Rooma Sekhri, Ramon Lamba, Sonia Bajaj, Rita Gangwani, Dr. Amit Bhasin, Dr. Aarti Bhasin, Nusrat Wani, Shalini Vig, Capt. Richa, Sunayana Malhotra, Sunayana Chibba, Daksh Oberoi, Musskan Agarwal, Archana Tomar, Monika, Shalini Kochhar, Salloli Kumar, Kavita Ashok, Bobby Bajaj, Chetan Sharma and his wife Ramani, Aamer Zakir, Dr. Varun Katyal, Jhanvi Bansal, Nancy, Beetika Chhabra, Seema Puri, Hillary John, Generose amongst many others.
Atelier and RU-BA-RU Miss India Elite 2013 will have the participation by aspiring models looking for a platform to show their talent at a bigger level with auditions starting from 26th February in Punjab followed by Jammu & Kashmir, Delhi University, Maharishi Dayanand University (Haryana), Mumbai and Karnataka. After the initial audition rounds the final round will take place at Delhi, says Sandeep Kumar.
An enthusiastic Arpita Bansal said, "I have always supported causes which are genuine and needed support on the grass root level. With our magazine Atelier Diva we are promoting woman who deserve the Diva tag those who have struggled to achieve their goal or on the right path towards the same. When Sandeep came to us with the concept I immediately said yes as its genuine and need support from all over. It's not just a regular beauty contest we are supporting it for a cause to fight against Female Foeticide - a cruel and frightening reality," says Arpita.
