By Santanu Ganguly, New Delhi: On the onset of spring, let's dance and celebrate Basant Panchami to bring spring to our lives! Samadhi will use sound, movement and stillness to get us connected to the environment inside and outside us.
Soul Dance is a meditative relaxation practice that allows us to slow down and rejuvenate. Dancing alone and with others creates a deep connection with our body and its boundaries. It is a practice that allows you to slow down, check in and rejuvenate.
Dancing with meditative awareness, we move deeply into higher state of being with gratitude and appreciation to our inner divinity.
No dance experience is required. All age groups are welcomed who like to dance.
The Program:
Soul Dance is a transformative dance practice designed to quiet the mind, relax the body and evoke the soul through sound, movement and stillness. The dance cultivates bodily awareness in the present moment. It opens ourheart and senses through meaningful connections and allows the body to release emotions and old patterns. In Soul Dance practice, the dancer moves through four human landscapes -
Aloneness - dancing alone to create a deep connection with the body and its boundaries.
Communion - dancing to relate, elevate the senses and our perception with one another.
Collective - dancing with everyone we sense the environment we are in.
Divinity - dancing with meditative awareness, we move deeply into a higher state of being with gratitude and appreciation to our divine self.
Samadhi, from Israel, started dancing at the age of 12 and has always liked the sensations of free dance. Her love for movement, stillness and music, combined with vast experience using meditation, yoga and breath work inspired her to develop “Soul in Motion” conscious dance events. Samadhi is a passionate facilitator of conscious movement practices and community building whose passion is to ignite one's connection with self, to others and to conscious communal living. Samadhi is skilled at grounding, tracking, and transforming the energy of a group.
