EFT Report, Manchester: Newcastle United FC English defender Danny Simpson, who is more in the tabloid gossip for his relationship with ‘The X Factor’ judge pop-star Tulisa Contostavlos, was reportedly 'knocked unconscious' in a street brawl on Sunday morning (Feb. 3, 2013) after a night out in Manchester with Manchester United stars Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck.

The 26-year-old got into a scrap with a fellow punter while queuing outside a fast-food joint after a night of partying. Eyewitnesses said Danny threw the first punch at the man, but when he attempted to leave, two bouncers dragged him out and punched him in the face, leaving him unconscious on the floor for 15 minutes before an ambulance arrived. Danny was later transported to a nearby hospital.
The footballer's spokesman released a statement saying; “Danny's fine and will be back training tomorrow.”
