Nehru’s ‘Tryst With Destiny’ Speech Put on Youtube

EFT Bureau, New Delhi: Ministry of Tourism, acting on the directions of Union Minister of Tourism Mr. K. Chiranjeevi, has started uploading all its archival audio and video clippings on the internet.

The Ministry now has a dedicated India YouTube Channel with the link www.youtube.com/india.

Nehru’s ‘Tryst With Destiny’ Speech

Today, the Ministry uploaded the famous “Tryst with Destiny” speech by independent India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru on YouTube as well as on its website. The speech has been digitally restored and can be heard at the end of the 58 minute Sound and Light show Red Fort, Delhi, uploaded on the website of the Ministry on the YouTube India Channel and on YouTube’s general site. The speech is followed by a historic recording of India’s National Anthem.
