EFT Report, Arkansas: Troubled country music star Mindy McCready has committed suicide, according to reports. She was found dead on Sunday, Feb. 17 of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, an Arkansas sheriff said. She was 37.
The platinum-winning singer had a complicated personal life, marked by a history of substance abuse, suicide attempts, family disputes and tragedy.
In January, record producer David Wilson, the father of her youngest son, was found dead of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police ruled the case suspicious. McCready denied any involvement.
Both her children were removed from her care this month while she was ordered to undergo rehabilitation.
