Pakistan’s First Lifestyle Exhibition Begins in New Delhi

The first 'Lifestyle Pakistan' exhibit opened in New Delhi with over 100 Pakistani top brands and designers in various categories like fashion textiles, jewelery, designer furniture and leather goods showcasing high-end items. The expo will take place from April 12-15, 2012.

The four-day exhibition was inaugurated by Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma and Pakistan Commerce Secretary Zafar Mahmood, who arrived in New Delhi along with 650 Pakistani businessmen.

The exhibition is one of the steps taken by both India and Pakistan to enhance bilateral commerce and open new channels for shipment of goods.

Bilateral trade between the two countries is $2.8 billion, although the informal trade, mainly via countries like Dubai and Singapore, is estimated to be $10 billion.
