The foundation stone for construction of train maintenance and repair workshops of Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR will be held on April 26, 2012 at Uppal depot in Hyderabad.The metro rail works at Uppal and Miyapur depots, Uppal pre-cast yard and pier (pillar) foundation works of stage-I (Nagole-Mettuguda stretch 8 km) are put on a fast track mode to make up for the initial delays of about six months in starting the works.
The construction strategy is to complete as many foundations as possible out of the 305 foundations of stage-I Nagole-Mettuguda stretch before monsoon.
