Orissa: Tribal Dance Fest Kicked Off in Bhubaneswar

A three-day Tribal Dance Festival kicked off at the Utkal Mandap in Bhubaneswar, Orissa on Monday, Dec. 12, 2011. The event is being held from 6 pm to 9 pm till Dec. 14.

The festival featured Kalasi dance by Santali troupe from Rairangpur, Gusadi dance by Gond troupe from Andhra Pradesh, Durua dance by Durua troupe from Jaypore, Oraon dance by Oraon troupe from Panposh and Dhap dance by Kandha troupe from Balangir, showcasing the most colorful cultural aspects of tribal life.
