EFT Report, Bangalore: Recently widowed Sheila lands up uninvited at her younger daughter Shikhas house on the pretext of arranging a suitable man for her to marry, but what she really longs to do is to save their estranged relationship. Thirty-year-old Shikha is pre-occupied with her own inner demons and a painful past, and stakes her happiness on finding her sisters baby. Her elder sister Meera is coming to terms with her bereavement and is both the bridge and the chasm that defines their relationships.

Blood is thicker than water, but just how thick is the bond that holds a mother and her daughters together? Could it snap under the weight of an unforgivable mistake, or does it dissolve under the pressure of a lifelong betrayal? The Long Way Home offers us a keyhole view into the lives of three women- with a shared past that both unites them and threatens to destroy them; they are forced to embark upon a journey that they have been putting off all their lives, until now...
